Cape Basketball Cheerleaders Donate to the Ronald McDonald House

The Cape Henlopen High School Basketball Cheerleaders are proud to donate $105.14 to the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. The money was collected during their Miracle Minutes campaign in the month of December. During half-time, each girl tried to collect as much money as possible in her can from the fans to be donated. From just two games in December, over one hundred dollars was raised in the stands!

At the start of the season, the cheerleaders decided to do community service projects in addition to their own fundraising. The idea of Miracle Minutes was brought up and quickly adopted. Freshman Heather Cross explained that the Ronald McDonald House was a natural choice. "It just makes sense that, if they have their family around, a child will heal faster and probably better," she said.
